NAME: Jacob Allen Parker, Goes by Jake PB: Bryan Greenburg JOURNAL & SN: jake_//pakerjake (yes it was a spelling mistake, but I've had it forever and I'd like to keep it.) AGE & DOB: April 10th, 1984//24 OCCUPATION: Jake doesn't really work much, I see him as a writer somewhat, but it's unknown to most. He works out of his office with his Children's Home stuff, as well as a little remodeling of things in difference places. RESIDENCE (optional): Liberty Lofts LINK TO BIO/FIRST ENTRY: Jacob Allen Parker was born to Kara (prounced Care-Ah) Ava Aarons, who later changed her name to Kara Ava Parker when she married Jacob's father Allen William Parker. He had told Kara that he never wanted to have children, and if he did he wasn't going to deal with them. Kara who'd always loved children, settled for this because as all abusive relationships start out, he had promised her, it wasn't "Because he didn't love Children, he just didn't want to share her with anyone else." So as the years went by Kara did end up getting pregnant in one of his drunken fits. He had pressured Kara to be with him on that evening, but he refused to protect the two of them from pregnancy, and sure enough 9 months later Jake came along. Jake knows a lot of what happened, only because his mother was a writer. She kept a journal of everything, and when Jake was old enough to come back and visit his mothers house back in Sea Island, he did. He ended up finding her journal, and reading everything that happened. This was about the point that his rebellion started, and he started a journal of his own. He was glad that his father was never apart of his life, after reading that journal but he wished his mother could have seen him grow up.
That was the reason that Jake wanted to become a writer. He wanted to write a book on his mothers life. He wants to tell about the great woman she was, and show other people that they can get help for abuse, before its to late. Although Jake's mother didn't die of the abuse, the cancer she had brought her down too. She was a wonderful woman, and Jake wants the world to know that. He wanted them to know of the Children's home that she started before he was born, although it was to his fathers dislike. His mother was great woman, who loved him dearly. She was one of the purest of heart, and wasn't afraid to give to anyone. She had been lucky enough to come into money, when her own parents died, and that was how she started her Children's Home in Sea Island, Georgia.
Jake pretends to carry himself very proudly, and badass like, but deep down he is a very depressed little guy. He keeps his darkest secrets to himself, only few people know them.. Chase is what has helped him through a lot of the tough stuff. Chase is his cousin, and his best friend. He tells Chase everything. Chase is the only one that knows Jake has a problem. A problem with his depression, and he's tried to get Jake help, but Jake won't do it. Jake is a cutter, but it's not apparent to anyone. He does it in places that aren't always so visible. Such as his inner thighs. It has gotten better as time progressed, but occasionally the poor boy relapses, and he'll cut. It hasn't happened since his daughter was born, just six weeks ago.
Chase is from another town in Georgia, and that's where Jake was sent after his mother died. So although Jake is an only child, it's like he and Chase are brothers. Chase is two years older than Jake. He was there, when Jake found out that he was going to be a father, to a little girl. The mother to the child was a girlfriend of Jake's a girl, that hadn't meant nearly as much to him as she should have. The girl gave birth to the little girl, and then up and left. She wasn't a really good fit for a mother, in Jake's eyes anyways. Although, Jake had never expected himself to end up with a child. Especially because he wasn't done with his partying, or anything like that. However, it all changed when Kara, was born. She was his everything, and still is. He treats her like the precious gem she is.
Now, he has moved to Philly just looking to start another Children's home, or maybe even just to start over and make some new friends. He still own's his house down in Sea Island, and goes there from time to time. However, right now, it's time for he and Kara to try and see what else is out there. And maybe he'd even run into an old friend, he missed dearly. The girl that always had his heart, the one that pushed him back in his place when he needed it. The girl who should have been Kara's mother. His best friend. It might all change here, in Philly, it might not. He's willing to find out either way.
